Who We Are

A Responsible Part of
the Ecosystem

Heritage International School, Kalyan, prides itself in being a responsible part of the ecosystem. And we strive every day to contribute to building better citizens of tomorrow. A strong sense of giving characterises our ethos.

At HIS, we strongly advocate being a part of the solution rather than the problem. Our social initiatives across the verticals of environment, human rights, public health and scientific research have been appreciated by the community we serve.

We are dedicated to instilling a sense of service, respect and compassion towards the community — especially towards the less fortunate. The community outreach program aims to support students in finding their interests and encouraging involvement in the school, local and global community to work towards making the world a better place.

🎯

Our Guiding Principle: Be a part of the solution rather than the problem — every Heritagian is empowered to make a difference in the world around them.

Our Social Verticals

Four Pillars of
Community Service

Our outreach work spans four interconnected areas of social responsibility — each one a dimension of our commitment to the community and the world.

1
🌿
Environment

Championing environmental stewardship through cleanliness drives, tree plantation, eco-awareness campaigns and sustainable practices that protect the planet for future generations.

2
❤️
Human Rights

Standing for dignity, equality and justice — supporting the underprivileged, elderly, orphans and the differently abled through dedicated service and resource sharing.

3
🏥
Public Health

Raising awareness of health and wellbeing through community health drives, sanitation campaigns and visits to hospitals and care centres that build civic compassion.

4
🧪
Scientific Research

Encouraging a scientific temper in service of society — applying research, observation and rational thinking to understand and address real-world community challenges.

🎁

Joy of Sharing

A week dedicated to experiencing the warmth and fulfilment that comes from giving to others

❤️

Care to Share

Donations of clothes, food, stationery and books channelled to those in greatest need

🤝

Sensitisation

Students are sensitised to the lives of others — building empathy and a deeper human connection

🎁

Our flagship activity — CARE TO SHARE — sees students conduct Fund Raising Events and donate proceeds directly to the needy, making giving a lived, felt experience rather than a lesson learned from a book.

Joy of Sharing Week

The Positive Feeling
of Giving

During the Joy of Sharing week, our students are sensitised to the lives of others — experiencing first-hand the deeply positive feelings inherent in the act of giving. The students conduct various Fund Raising Events and donate the proceeds to the needy through our flagship activity, CARE TO SHARE.

This is not just a charity exercise — it is a carefully structured emotional and social learning experience that builds empathy, generosity and a lifelong habit of service in every Heritagian who participates.

Donations include clothes, food, stationery and books — ensuring that the support reaches those who need it most in our immediate community and beyond.

"A strong sense of giving characterises our ethos. At HIS, we strongly advocate being a part of the solution rather than the problem."

❤️

Supporting Care Institutions & Inclusive Communities

Be a Part of the Solution,
Not the Problem

Heritage International School, Kalyan, prides itself in being a responsible part of the ecosystem. We strive every day to contribute to building better citizens of tomorrow. A strong sense of giving characterises our ethos — and our social initiatives across the verticals of environment, human rights, public health and scientific research stand as living proof of our commitment to the community we serve and the world we share.

The Impact on Students

What Community Service
Builds in Every Student

Service is one of the most powerful educators. The values, skills and perspectives gained through community outreach last far longer than any classroom lesson.

🤝

Empathy & Compassion

Direct exposure to the lives of the less fortunate builds a profound, lived understanding of human diversity — and the desire to act with kindness and compassion always.

🎓

Civic Responsibility

Students develop a strong sense of duty towards their community — understanding that they are active, responsible agents of the society they inhabit and the future they will inherit.

🏆

Leadership & Initiative

Organising events, running donation drives and leading community visits builds real leadership — the kind that is rooted in service and motivated by purpose, not personal gain.

🌎

Global Citizenship

Outreach activities connect students to the broader human story — building the worldview, values and sense of global responsibility that defines a true Heritage global citizen.

🌿

Environmental Stewardship

Hands-on participation in cleanliness drives, tree plantation and eco-campaigns creates genuine environmental ownership — habits and values that last a lifetime.

💡

Purpose & Meaning

Serving others gives students a sense of purpose that goes beyond grades and achievements — a deep, personal understanding of what it means to live a meaningful and contributive life.
