Leadership Born from Honour & Spirit
St. John High School's House System divides students into four proud houses — Lion, Panther, Falcon and Dragon — each named after a powerful symbol of strength, courage and excellence. Every student belongs to a house, competes for their house, and learns what it means to lead with integrity. The House Captain is the highest student honour within each house — a role that demands academic excellence, moral character and the ability to inspire others.
Meet the Four Houses
LION HOUSE
🏗 House IKing of the Jungle
Lions are known to be the symbol of strength and courage from the history. They are known as the King of the Jungle. They are the bravest animal in the jungle. The way of their hunting is different from other animals.
Being a Lion makes us feel privileged and it seems like the Lion House has selected a path — the path of success, glory and victory. I am the House Captain of Lion House, and I lead my house with pride, honour and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
PANTHER HOUSE
🏗 House IIPower Without Fear
Panthers are powerful, spiritual and courageous animals who do not fear anyone or anything. Panthers are solitary animals. They are expert hunters — a Panther can leap up to 20 feet. They have excellent eyesight and an acute sense of hearing.
They have strong and large paws and sharp claws used for hunting. They never bow down to anyone. They always walk without fear, keeping their head up high. As Panther House Captain, I carry that fearless spirit into everything I do for my house.
FALCON HOUSE
🏗 House IIIRising Above All
The Peregrine Falcon is the most common bird of prey in the world, found on every continent besides Antarctica. They are known for their incredible hunting skills and being a ruthless, dominant predator within their environment.
The Falcon is a solar emblem for success, victory and rising above a situation. Further evidence of its solar influence — the Falcon was symbolic of the rising sun in Egypt. Falcon House soars above every challenge, guided by vision, speed and purpose.
DRAGON HOUSE
🏗 House IVLoyal. Powerful. Unstoppable.
Dragon is a creature of immense power — and in East Asia, a beneficent symbol of fertility and good fortune. Dragons are highly advanced social creatures and can be very emotional. There are good and evil dragons, but there are good and evil humans too.
Dragons are very loyal to each other. They enjoy thrills and are formidable hunters. They are very powerful — there are no words to fully describe their might. Dragon House embodies that loyalty, raw power and the thrill of pushing beyond every limit.
